Drop waist skirt

I made the skirt yesterday from the pattern I won from Pink Fig.  I picked it, honestly, because it uses less fabric than the others and I've never worked with this brand before.  I have to correct something I said in my last post - three of the five patterns I received are tissue, two are cutting and sewing directions.  This is one with directions -a tissue pattern really wasn't needed.  The directions are straight forward and easy to follow.  I haven't seen The Princess yet so she hasn't tried it on and I can't speak to fit.

The fabrics
These are the two fabrics I chose.  I didn't write down who the designer is and the selvages are upstairs but I do know it's a Moda fabric.

Finished skirt
There is one change I'll make to the next skirt I make from this pattern - I'll change the inside of the waist piece so it covers the gathering seam.  The skirt is two widths of fabric and I want to keep the inside smooth.  Kids can be really fussy about clothes that rub.  Other than that, I'm really happy with it.
